Hi.

We do have around 4100 of 1cm imagery TIFF files on an SDE Mosaic Dataset that we have published as a cached service. As we do get new files each month we update the Mapservice Cache for the new location using "Manage Map Server Cache Tiles" tool (while specifying the extend of the new area so it wont build the whole cache again). This process was working fine until one day we got this error while running the "Manage Map Server Cache Tiles" tool.

Data access failure, layer = Imagery, error string = Could not access data for layer or table Imagery during drawing
Failed to cache extent: 40245.808280 6701282.727123 40985.785226 6701849.327897 at scale 282.12429400000002

...

Because this seemed like a permissions issue we published a new Un Cached Dynamic Map Service using the same Mosaic Dataset. The Mapservice was rendering the new area just fine and did not give any errors. So ArcGIS Server was able to access the rasters otherwise it would have not rendered the Dynamic MapService correctly.

We did Analyze the mosaic dataset from the machine we have the ArcGIS Desktop installed and here are the results:

Analyzed 4102 mosaic dataset items; found 1 error(s) and 9 warning(s).
Error: High: The mosaic dataset item has invalid visibility values in the MINPS or MAXPS field. [3 items]

Warning: High: The mosaic dataset boundary contains too many vertices.
Warning: High: The mosaic dataset defaults to no compression during transmission.
Warning: High: The maximum number of rasters allowed per mosaic request is high.
Warning: High: The mosaic dataset does not have overviews.
Warning: Low: The top-level raster function associated with the mosaic dataset item does not have histogram and statistics. [2559 items]
Warning: Low: Raster datasets referenced by the mosaic dataset item do not have histogram and statistics. [2559 items]
Warning: Low: The mosaic dataset item references a non-thematic raster with pyramids built using the nearest neighbor resampling method. [2512 items]
Warning: Low: Raster datasets referenced by the mosaic dataset item do not have pyramids. [1590 items]
Warning: Low: The mosaic dataset item references a large non-tiled raster dataset. [102 items]

Any advice on how to further debug this issues would be helpful.

Thanks.
