Hi everyone,

We have a non versioning SQL enterprise geodatabase. Suddenly, we cannot do any editing in any feature class of our geodatabase. We get the message "the object cannot be edited using the current session mode".

What could be wrong?

Is this in ArcMap you are trying to do the editing from?  since your GDB is not versioned, I'm wondering if you have the "Edit Versioned Database" option checked in your editing options by accident?

No, I am working in ArcGIS Pro. As you can see versioning is not selected

Yes, I found it too. I checked it. This is not our case.

Thanks.

I take it you have the correct grants and rights from the database level to be able to edit the feature class?

Yes, I am also the owner of the dataset.

Is the feature class being used in some other application concurrently while you are trying to edit it? If this is the case, then there might an existing lock which would not allow you to edit it.

It would be worth checking the Manage geodatabase locks to confirm if this.

Just had it happen to me.  Any solution, or do we have to scrap our deployment?
