I have an ETL job that has been pretty stable for the last couple of years, but lately I've seen an error from arcpy very often - "Message: Connection information provided was for a non-administrative user". Basically, arcpy is not able to disconnect users although nothing has been changed to the admin account. Same admin sde we have been used for years and same ETL job scheduled in Task Scheduler. When I see this error, I went to Task Scheduler and click to run and it went through. This job is scheduled to run nightly and I'm not likely to stay up to see the error message. Any ideas?

We had a similar problem with a nightly data update script. It worked flawlessly for months but then stopped working in our test environment and a few months later in our production environment. We traced the source of the problem to a change in software for virus scanning. We had to get exceptions to prevent scanning on several folders where our data was being processed. It's probably not the same issue for you but maybe a similar change on your servers.

Bernie.
