Configured HA for Portal for ArcGIS but unable to publish Hosted feature service error: The Hosted server behind portal could not be accessed. Followed below link:

Configure a highly available portal—Portal for ArcGIS (10.5.x) | ArcGIS Enterprise

Confused at step5 and step8 configure hosting server for portal. Any help?

How did you federate Portal and Server?  Do you use the same load balancer for the services URL as you do the Portal?  Do you have a separate load balancer configured for the admin URL used during federation and the privatePortalURL?  When you run Fiddler and go through the Service Editor, do you see any errors?

Hi Jonathan,

Thank you for your reply.

1. Federated portal with server using Load balancer URL. Attaching Image

2. No we dont have any separate load balancer

What did you do to fix the original problem?

The "publishing failed" error typically means you'll see some errors in the Server logs.  Have you taken a look there yet?  Also, I see you're federation admin URL is set to a specific machine.  Do you have a multi-machine Server site?  If not, even if your Portal is HA, your deployment will still have at least one single point of failure in the single machine federated Server site.  You can refer to the deployment scenarios for examples.

Is your data on an enterprise geodatabase ? If yes, then before you publish the service , in your ArcMap - Can you connect to the geodatabase so that it is Active ? Then try publishing again.
