Change Spatial Reference

We have certain datasets that have a XY resolution that makes no sense: 0.000053551048115 ft.  We are trying to migrate our data to a new database which has default settings for the XY resolution and tolerance, which is: 0.000328083333333 ft.

Using the Upgrade Spatial Reference tool doesn't work because our existing XY resolution is more precise than the default.  Is there a way to change/alter an existing spatial reference to a lower precision?

Thanks in advance!

Because the xy resolution value affects data storage, you would have to reload. Sorry!
