Hi,

i'm very frustrated.

I use always the Esri setup "PostgreSQL 12.2 DBMS for Windows" download from myEsri space.

After setup, the pgAgent Extension is not proposed for creating.

How can repar it ?

thanks for your help

Are you getting an error message?

What version ArcGIS are you planning on using?

Did you run the installer as an Administrator?

thanks for your interest.

Connected in postrgres admin user, i  used this command

CREATE EXTENSION pgagent;

 and pgadmin return

SQL Error [58P01]: ERROR: can't open the file extension control « C:/Program Files/PostgreSQL/12/share/extension/pgagent.control » : No such file or directory

it's true this file don't exist in this location.

I check in few arcgis enterprise in same version 10.8.1 postgresql 1.2 and it's same...

is there a good reason ?

can i download this extension somewhere ? it's a good idea ?

I have not used or installed the pgagent on my postgres instance. I do not think it is needed by default.

it's true, it's not needed by default.

by it's a very interesting pg standard extension to schedule some sgbd tasks like refresf materialized view or other things...

i'm worry that this extension is dropped in the esri setup....

Honestly not sure. I have just used the installers from the PostgreSQL website for years with no issues. We just provide it to clients so they do not have to go search.
