Unable to Connect to Portal. (kCFErrorDomainCFNetwork error 301.)

We supposedly have all our ports open for mobile devices to connect to our Portal, though when I simply try connecting through the Explorer app on iOS (Apple device), I get this error.  Anyone else have this error or know how to resolve it?  Is it our server and security or the iPad/ iPhone??

I am suffering the same IWA credential issues with Explorer for ArcGIS and Workforce for ArcGIS after iOS 13+ updates.  According to ESRI support this known "high-priority" bug fix won’t be rolled by ESRI/Apple until Mid-December.  I assume the significant time delay must have something to do with Apple Store validation/QA?  Nonetheless, this bug will definitely impact production applications at my site.  

There is a beta hotfix for BUG-000125896 (After updating to iOS 13, Explorer for ArcGIS is unable to login to Portals configured with Integrated Windows Authentication (IWA) with the error kCFErrorDomainCFNetwork error 301). The beta version is a separate install and it will not replace the existing Explorer app on your device.

After you open the link on the device, you need to download Testflight which is an app for testing beta versions, then you can install the beta version of Explorer.

We got the same problem when some of our field workers decided to update iOS, even when our IT department suggested to wait. We are using ArcGIS Enterprise and a Portal hosted internally. We can't wait months for a fix, but luckily we found a workaround. It's not very elegant, but it works for now.

In Explorer for ArcGIS, try to log to your portal directly, rather than through the web adaptor.

Normally, we would connect through a url such as: https://serverAlias.domain.com/portal but then the OS authentication fails.

On the other hand, we tried to connect directly to the portal through a url such as: https://RealServerName.domain.com:7443/arcgis. If it works, you get redirected to a login form for the portal similar to the one on a web browser. You need to use you windows credentials (domain\username + Windows password).

My coworker and I have also found this issue in Collector when trying to log into ArcGIS Enterprise on iOS 13.x

Hi! I got an invitation for the beta test of Explore 19.1.0 and tested for this problem. It fixed! I was able to connect to our portal with iOS 13.x.

I don't know the exact date, but when I sent the feedback they replied saying "we should go final later in December".

This appears to be resolved in the latest release. Version 19.1.0 build 2614.

This issue may be fixed for Explorer, but not for ArcGIS Workforce iOS client. The current iOS Workforce version is still 17.0.1. Its release Date is December 15, 2017.
