Rotating Symbols

Hi, I have some point symbols that I rotate because the data view has a specific rotation.  But when I rotate the symbols, they also rotate in the legend.  Is there a way to rotate the symbols on the map, but have a zero rotation in the legend?

Hello Michael,

When I set rotation for a symbol, it does not change the rotation in the legend. I set rotation by Layer Properties > Symbology tab > Advanced > Rotation. (I'm using 10.1)

You can also adjust a setting on the Legend to not change when symbols change. 

However, the previous recommendation rotate based on attribute is the better option.  That is what I use as well.
