Portal Running Very Slow

Our production portal in AWS is running extremely slow and was wondering if people have had that is issue and can give me some hints in how to fix?

I know this is a very open question, but I am at a dead end and not sure what to try.

Things I have tried:

• Restart services
• Restarting servers

Can you post the process of updating the DNS records, please? I am presenting this to our IT and need to establish if it is their side or ours. Thanks in Advance!

Check how many cores you have on your portal box.  When we moved to portal a couple of years ago we requested an 8 core server from out IT department and it ended up being a single core.  They changed it to 16 cores and we are very quick now. 16 may be overkill but it is slick.
