“Portal for ArcGIS” fails to start,
I couldn’t figure out why the “Portal for ArcGIS” fails to start despite the fact that it has working fine earlier.
What could be the issue here?

So if the Sharing API doesn't come up, (typically a 404), that would cause the home app to not display. Since it does resolve, you'll need to monitor the network traffic when opening the home app. You can use Fiddler or your browsers dev tools.
