Portal 11.5 Upgrade problem

Hello

I just upgraded my Portal from 11.1 to 11.5 manually - this was successful, until i tried accessing my Portal home page at https://my.portal.com/portal/home, I am then redirected to portal/home/error.html without any further errors. This also applies when I try locally with FQDN, so not a WebAdaptor issue in my eyes.

However, I am able to reach portal/sharing/rest and /portal/portaladmin without any errors. And yes I have tried:

  • restarts
  • clearing my browser cache several times
  • updating my browsers (Edge and Chrome) to the latest version
  • private window

Anybody else have encountered this issue before? Thankful for any tips

Status after a week of troubleshooting and multiple rollbacks/re-upgrades is that the case remains unsolved. I have been troubleshooting with Esri support every day since last week, and they still dont’t have any idea what is causing the Portal home page to be inacessable. Yesterday I tried the following:

  • Set up a new VM and did a clean install of 11.1
  • Did a «export site» from original 11.1
  • Did «Import site» on 11.1 on the new VM
  • upgraded the new VM from 11.1 to 11.5
  • Experienced the same error 😞
  • Still did a «export site»
  • uninstalled 11.5, and re-installed 11.5
  • Portal home page works completely fine on 11.5 clean install, however the error reoccurs after I do a «import site» on 11.5

It seems as if there is something wrong with the site causing the portal/home to be inacessable. Does anybody please have any idea about what could be causing this issue? Any help would be appriciated as I am running out of time

Hello @LiveHus 

We have  attempted to upgrade from 11.4 to 11.5. The homepage loads but our web applications do not even with the web applications patch applied.  Web app builder applications display this error in the console.  ExB apps just load a white page with no error.

We have a support call open with ESRI UK and have noticed that the 'C:\portal\framework\jsapi' folder is missing other jsapi folders after the upgrade.  It may be worth checking to see which api's are showing for you. 

We don't have a resolution so have restored a backup.
