Carriage Return when using Dynamic Text

I am using the dynamic text tag <dyn type="Page"property="Remark"/>  to create a text box in a map book layout.  The "Remark" field that I'm bringing in is 256 characters.  Because of this, I cannot fit my field onto the page layout.  I would like to add carriage returns to either the tag or to my text field so that the contents can be placed on my map layout page.

Has anyone found a solution for adding carriage returns when using dynamic text?

Thanks
Aaron

Hi Aaron,

You can use the dynamic text tags within a piece of paragraph text (from the Draw toolbar, insert Polygon, Rectangle, or Circle text).  The text will automatically wrap and give you carriage returns within the extent of the polygon you define.

David,

Thanks, that does exactly what I need.

Something to keep in mind when using polygon, rectangle, and circular text is that it automatically adds extra space between words in order to "fit" the text to the dimensions. A work around is to use unicode MS type text if applicable...
