Build hosted Tile Cache

I have a hosted Tile Layer that I am trying to build cache for.

  • I did the first three levels fine (and have done all levels on other hosted layers without issue).
  • I keep trying to build the 1:6000 scale but nothing happens.
  • I wait (a long, long time) and still nothing.
  • I check the status in ArcGIS Server hoping it would say something like "In progress" (like Job Status in APro).  But it looks the same as below.

I think the issue is the discrepancy between "Visible Range" and "Tile details" in the image below.  It seems like if "Tile range" would reflect "Visible Range" the cache would start building.  I've tried tweaking and saving "Visible Range" hoping it would jar the "Tile Range" into action.

Any guidance is appreciated.

This has been reported as a bug (BUG-000174757).  It's in review and is of medium severity.  It has been an issue since March 2025 (being that it's mid-June 2025, doesn't seem too important to whomever decides how important these bugs are).

Of note on this matter, my scales were custom scales.  I noticed that when using the option "Auto-Suggest" during the Share setup, tiles below 1:6000 will in fact cache.  So the bug seems to have something to do with the fact that one of my scales was 1:6000.  In the image below, scales below 1:6000 are caching.  After building the hosted tile cache layer, I was able to manually adjust the Visible Range.  Doing so was immediately reflected in the Tile details section.  I could then click Build Tiles and, as seen below, the scale 518.23 was added and cached successfully.

Update (but still no fix).  Because my scales are set to specific scales, instead of just using the little slider tool, which sets scales different from mine, I was able to manually input my "Visible Range" to match my Tile Range details.  Sadly, this didn't affect any change to the Tile Range slider.

I also went to ArcGIS Server manager and stopped/started SceneCachingTools, to no avail.  Lastly, I tried in APro to use "Manage Map Server Cache Tiles" GP.  It ran and said it was happy but no cache was built for the 1:6000 scale.
