I have created an application in Web AppBuilder. It uses my standard basemaps (not ESRI's) which are in North Dakota State Plane South projection. When you click on the icon to zoom to your current location, it puts you there, but it zooms in to about .3 of a foot. I suspect this has to do with using State Plane projection and feet instead of geographic and degrees, but I have no idea how to change these settings so that it zooms to a reasonable level.
Any ideas?
Hi Matthew,
Take a look at your web map settings for Customize Visible Scales.
Maybe they are defined too small.
Example:
Very interesting. I just checked it out and the button is grayed out. See below:
Do the ESRI provided basemaps allow you to click that Customize button?
or at least zoom out in your basemap and select the "Use Current Map View".
I have disabled ESRI basemaps because all of my data is in state plane and I am happy with my own basemaps.
I opened a service call with ESRI. I am told that the reason for this is that my basemaps are not cached. I have still not been able to cache my basemaps, but when I do, I will document here whether the problem is fixed.
