Demo Crime Dashboard - Interactive

I am trying to modify the "Demo Crime Dashboard - Interactive" template to consume my own data, but cannot figure out how ESRI has made the map disappear when any other tab is selected but the Map tab. By default, my map still shows up in the top frame of every tab. I have attached screenshots of the demo site, when the Map and Time Periods tabs are selected to show how they should be displayed. I am not the only one trying to figure this out, as a few have also commented on the demo's details site.

You could switch over the experience builder. I am not sure how they do it.

This is a capability I wasn't aware of but you can apparently create groups of widgets that you can then position relative to one another... This is pretty handy, thanks for asking the question or I'd have never known.
