Hi everyone
I am having the following challenge
1. I have got a Dashboard created within our ArcGIS online creator account.
2. Is a private Dashoard, shared with anothers "Viewer" and "Editor" ArcGIS Online user, of our same organization.
3. This app will be accessible through the UI of another application (ERP) for this users.
Here it seems that it is possible to access a private app without needing any login, using token:
http://xxx.maps.arcgis.com/apps/webappviewer/index.html?id=#webappid#&token=#tokenRetreived#
We know how to generate a token. My questión:
Is it posible to let anyone with Viewer o Editor account, have access to the dashboard (for internal use) without manual login? For example with token?
Thanks a lot
Hi,
we are in the same situation by months.
https://community.esri.com/t5/arcgis-dashboards-questions/token-protected-dashboard/m-p/1021428
It seems that Operation Dashboards does not support the "token" URL parameter, while webappbuilder does.
I don't understand why Esri has put such a limit and I hope it will soon be remedied by extending support to the token in the url also for dashboards in the next release
Hello Alessio.
Thank you very much for the information!
I hope that in the future it will be possible.
Hi,
it would be great if esri ( @BrianBaldwin ?) told us if they were thinking about it or not. For my organization it is a huge limit and it would make the difference in using dashboards in production or not, and having it just in test makes no sense
@AlessioDi_Lorenzo1 - Thanks for reaching out/asking about this capability. To be honest, I have no idea! Let me reach out to a member of the Dashboard team to see what the status of this capability might be... ohhh @DavidNyenhuis1!

After a year I'm back to ask if there are any updates on this important aspect.
Thank you
