Hi,
It would be really useful to easily be able to create a list item of distinct values contained within a feature layer. E.g. a list showing distinct survey dates, from a survey data layer. Which can then be used to filter other associated tables and map elements that use the same underlying table.
Currently this only seems to be able to be done by creating a data expression, but this causes limitations when trying to link this to other dashboard elements, due to the data expression not including all the relevant table fields.
Many thanks
Have tried a Table with Grouped Values? It supports generating a unique or distinct value list, which can be used to filter other compatible elements. You can use advanced formatting to hide fields you don't want displayed in the list, but wish to retain for filtering purposes. See this post for a nice example, Dashboards That Pop: Unique Lists.
Many thanks for your suggestion. Unfortunately you don't seem to be able to use a date field as a Grouped value within a Table (a work around being creating another field to store the date as string so this can be used instead, but this isn't ideal).
