Though I have been using ArcPad for almost a decade, I am curious to know if there is is a plan to phase ArcPad out as Collector inherits many of its predecessor's traits. Does ESRI have a long term roadmap for field data collection software? Thanks for your candid responses.
I'd Imagine ArcPad will follow the curve of hardware usage. Given the rise of iOS and Android, the writing is on the wall. Once Trimble and other GPS Manufacturers abandon ship on this platform, the developers (Esri) will have no choice but to follow.
