Trial version of Collector

I'm currently testing the "Trial" version of Collector to see if it could replace our ArcPad GPS system we currently use to collect point and line for forestry applications.  I seem to be able to collect data while in our Office's WiFi range but once I leave that range I'm not able to finish collecting the data.  I'm using the recreation trial map.  What am I doing wrong or missing?

Trial map only allows collecting while the device is online (via wi-fi or cell networks). You need to prepare offline map, for details check Prepare your data in ArcGIS for Desktop—Collector for ArcGIS | ArcGIS
