Layer Not Loaded - Basemaps not working

Sometimes the basemaps will not load and give me an error message

'Layer Not Loaded

Unable to load layer "http://services.arcgisonline.com/arcgis/...../MapServer"

from services.arcgisonline.com

A server with the specified hostname could not be found'

This is occurring on iPhone 6 devices using ArcGIS Collector with ArcGIS Online feature services.

Our front line staff need the base map as reference. These errors only push an unreliable view of the GIS on their end.

Today I also ran into this issue. What I did was to reset network setting in iPhone 5. After resetting, the issue is gone.   Here is the help: Reset Network Settings using iPhone- AT&T Wireless Support .But I still don't know how I can reproduce this issue.
