I was asked the question about how Collector performs when syncing and losing the mobile data signal - it would seem not very well. I cut off the data signal half way through syncing 3 minor edits (moving a vertex, adding an attribute, etc), turned mobile data back on again and now the syncing progress bar is stuck. I can cancel using the "X" but when I retry the sync the bar moves again and then gets stuck again. The network activity indicator doesn't show much activity and the sync will seemingly never complete.
In my made-up scenario I can get the map back to a workable state by deleting the offline features (through the Manage option) - losing my edits in the process. If we roll Collector out and this happens to someone with a day's worth of work to sync then we're kind of up a creek because they will not see deleting all the day's work as an option! This person may also be at the other side of the country and not able to pop-in to the office for us to try recover things another way.
