We are testing Collector for ArcGIS using high-resolution camera imagery rasters over a base map and mapping polygons of tree crowns in the field but when we select "Create" the imagery changes from crisp to blurry. Does anyone know if this is a problem with the settings (GPS receiver info enabled), a device issue (iOS platform), some other setting with the app? Any thoughts would be appreciated. Photos attached.
We also have this issue on iOS as of 12/10/2019. Did you ever find a resolution? Thanks.
This was determined to be “built-in” expected behavior on all operational layers as of the new release of Collector for ArcGIS 18.1.0 iOS and the workaround that we have implemented is to add (move) one of our pictometry or reference layers into the base map group. Then when collecting features in Collector, that new basemap layer is the reference and therefore no longer blurry. Not an ideal solution but it works. Our case was initially logged as a bug then an enhancement request since the behavior was, as mentioned, “built-in”.
Wow, that's so weird. Thanks for getting back to me so quickly. I'll look
at the workaround you mentioned. Thanks again.
