Collector app and associated web map will not let me add data

I created a geodatabase with domains and an empty feature class just like this tutorial.

Prepare your data in ArcGIS Desktop—Collector for ArcGIS | ArcGIS 

I then shared this as a feature service with all the parameters listed in the tutorial (i only changes some names to match my use case).

I have the data and map shared with everyone in my group and they have full viewing and editing capabilities.

However, when I try to add a point through the map (directly from arcgis online) it does not stay in the dataset after I save.  Likewise, it does not stay in the map when I add it through collector.  I am stuck....:(

Has anyone had this issue??

My friend Michael Kang figured it out. I used "multipoint features" when I created the database in ArcMap.  Those cannot be edited apparently.  BEWARE!!
