I have a fairly complex street grid that I am trying to visualize but the Cleanup Graph tool is a little heavy handed in it's approach no matter how fine of constraints I put on it: The file intersection0 is the version that looks closest to the desired result but the file intersection1 is what results from any effort to clean up that meeting.

I've even tried redrawing the roads with some tweaks but it doesn't seem to like it. Any advice you may have would be greatly appreciated!

hi ..

ps... did you read through this ?
http://cehelp.esri.com/help/index.jsp?topic=/com.procedural.cityengine.help/html/manual/sn/toc.html

did you try the 'edit streets' tool ( c key ) ?

this lets you edit the streets interactively:

😮

let me know ..

I've used that tool quite a bit but learned the most about it through trial and error. There are still some edits that don't do exactly what I was hoping it would do. Maybe I need to get better with the spline adjustments.

well, our toolset has it's limitations ..

it's designed to create designs rapidly, but not cover all possibilities there are, such as a civil engineering application.

if you show me precisely what you need in a picture, I may help, but not sure ..

ok ?

Hehe, the more you give someone the more they want. I'm out of the office today but I'll try to see if I can get my idea across with video capture and drawings to show you what I am trying to do and what the software is doing when it tries to help me. I am still not willing to rule out PEBCAK.
