How can I make this merge area resolve cleanly?

This happens often when roads merge. Are there any good guidelines for creating these? See attached picture.

hmm.

I think it's only that the rule is not assigned correctly to those junction shapes.

select those shapes and check the Inspector for proper start rule and rule file.

does that work ?

This is a merge area. It seems that CityEngine does not like the way these roads come together because it won't generate that section. It doesn't do that to every merge area but sometimes it refuses to texture the area. Is there a set of best practices for merge area and ramps?

Yes! It's wierd. The shapes took on InnerPavement for some reason. All of the vectors were assigned what I expected. it does that all over the place but it is much easier to fix in CE than Maya! Thanks! That little double check saved me big!
