Hi All,

I just started experimenting with CityEngine. A great tool to create a town/city of your own. What I want to achieve is to create a "fake" town and use it in an interactive demonstration.

Obviously, normally I can have my arcgis online map and draw/animate pushpins and so on but now what I want to do is to be able to have e.g. cars driving around my fake town but not only driving around but also calling external services to push their location for example.

Is there a way to achieve this or is CityEngine only good for exporting a CityEngine webscene and have users fly around your town. I tried exporting layers as Geodatabase or KML but after uploading that to ArcgisOnline and tried to add it as layer to a map, there were errors....

kind regards

Hi,

CityEngine can not directly do these things, only parts of the problem. But in combination with LumenRT, you can create interactive scenes with moving cars.

See more details here:

LumenRT 2015 | E-On Software

Let me know if you need more pointers.
