Access Scene Light values using python?

Hello,

I wold like to ask a question regarding the layer Scene Light in City engine. Is there a way to access the attributes of the layer using python?

This is currently not possible directly with Python. We'd have to use a Java code hack.

Not sure if this is of interest for you ?

Yes, I think I would be interested if it's possible, but i have no idea how to do this.

I am hoping to create a "morning to nighttime" animation.

our developer to whom I sent the question is completely swamped with work, so I need to ask you for some more time.

[just as a note: since the scene light layer inside CityEngine does not give you precise time- and location-based shadows, you may use an other tool for this anyway, where you have full control.]

It would be amazing if there is a way to do this. I am aware about the time and location, but I think i can figure out a way to overcome this problem.
