Does the API for Python also work with Apache Zeppelin?

I was just wondering if the API works with other open source notebook software such as Zeppelin?

The API is a standard Python API and would work with Zeppelin. 

The map widget would not work with Zeppelin though as it's a Jupyter Notebook widget.
