i am not able install latest version(Version 1.2.0 · July 2017) of ArcGIS api for python via arcmap pro python package manager.
Update: i need to uninstall the existing version to install the latest version

so that is your installed package, what does it say in the upgradeable link just below it?
It that isn't happening, use conda install as in Atma's link here
Click the Refresh button and it should then allow you to upgrade.
