Hi,

I am new to Flex Viewer. I have opened the MapManager.mxml in notepad and commented Line no 147. I have reopened the flex viewer and I can not see my services.

kbnehru,

For changes to an mxml to take effect than you have to recompile the mxml into a swf file. You need something like Flash builder or older Flex Builder. If you do not have flash builder than changing any code is going to be tough.

Thanks for the help.

I have recompiled the app using Flash Builder and I am able to see my services. What steps are to be taken to copy the application to web server.

Brahmananda Nehru Khandrika,

If you are using Flash or Flex Builder than just export a release build and copy all the files from the bin-release to a web server.

Thanks for the help.

I am using Flash Builder 4 Premium. I am following Developer's Guide "Create GeoWeb Applications with Sample Flex Viewer" Release May 26, 2009.

I have an Issue with Widgets.

Creating a mxml component and naming it to MyFirstWidget.mxml is fine. I am not able to proceed further with Optimization for the Flex Viewer Appliction represented by Index.mxml as I do not see Flex Modules in the drop down list when I right click and select Properties on my MyFirstWidget.mxml. Are there any issues with Flash Builder 4. I am new to Flex environment, could someone help me with the way around for creating widgets.

Nehru,

You are misunderstanding a portion here
when I right click and select Properties on my MyFirstWidget.mxml

What you need to right click is the whole flex project and not just the mxml in the Flex Navigator window.

Thanks for the help.

I was able to change the logo.png but not powered by ESRI.PNG.

I have renamed the existing logo.png and powered by ESRI.png and copied my own png files as logo and powered by ESRI. I am able to see the change of Logo but not powered by ESRI.png.
