I???m not real familiar with z values in ArcGIS.  I have several z value feature classes.  When I preview (3D view) them in ArcCatalog, I can see the differences in their elevations (building floors for example).  Where is this z data stored?  I don???t see it in the attribute table.  To that end, for testing purposes, if I create a building floor feature class with z values, how would I input the z values into the feature class?  Any input would be great.  Or if there is some documentation explaining this, that would be welcome as well.

Thank you

Depending on your data, if it is point then you can use the Add XY Coordinates tool to see the z field, which will be added. If it is line files or polygons then it will be stored in the geometry.  The only way to see the values would be to open an edit session and open the vertices window.
