I've recently been using the surface aspect tool within the triangulated surface toolset. I noted that, to determine aspect, the tool allocates each triangle within the surface a 'code' which relates to 'slope direction' and 'slope angle range'. However, in the Resource Centre help there seems to be a mismatch between the slope angle ranges and slope directions (and also against the aspect categories used by the aspect tool within the raster surface tools).
Hopefully the attached document illustrates more clearly what I mean. I believe that the ranges shown in the raster column in the table are the correct ranges, and I'd be grateful if anybody could tell me whether it's just the help page <http://resources.arcgis.com/en/help/main/10.1/index.html#/Surface_Aspect/00q900000094000000/> that's incorrect, or whether the aspect tool in the triangulated surface toolset does actually use the slope angle ranges stated on that page to calculate the slope codes.
