I am working with LiDAR data in North Carolina. The horizontal datum in NC state plane feet. The vertical datum is NAVD88 feet. I have created datasets using both the *.lasd and las to multipoint in a geodatabase. However, when setting the vertical datum for both data sets, the only vertical datum option I see in ArcGIS 10.1.1 is NAVD88 meters. Found an old post for ArcGIS 9.3.1 describing that they could go to the data set properties/z coordinate system tab and use the 'modify' button to change from meters to feet. That does not exist in 10.1. How do I define my data a NAVD88 feet?
