Hey ArcGis community,

My friend an I finally got some Gps-Equipement and we saved coordinates from walls and the ground.
We got the X,Y and Z coordinates from each and wrote the attributes in  an excel table and now we want to create a
3D-Model.

We did that in our freetime and today we got acces to an ArcGis license in our University, but we have no idea which steps we need
and even google doesnt help us a lot.
I would really appreciate if you could post us something like an manual for rendering a 3D-Model from Excel-Tables.

Thanks in advance 😃

Hi Max,

You would need more than a few GPS points to create a model.  ArcGIS offers the options to create raster surfaces by interpolating points or TINs by triangulating between 3D points or nodes.  You can add your points from excel to ArcGIS and create a 3D point feature class.  Using the Add XY Data tool.  Documentation for this tool is below.

Adding x,y coordinate data as a layer

Here is some options for creating multipatches and elevation surfaces you may want to look at.

What is a TIN surface ?
