I run into this over and over and have tried various ways of fixing this issue but perhaps I am missing something.
I am unable to export a smooth fluid video animation from ArcScene. When I hit the play button all is good and the animation plays relatively well in ArcSceneitself but when I export it to AVI (Uncompressed) the result is very jerky.
I only have 2 keyframes, and the video is 20s long. (Through trial and error I've figured out a long ago that introducing more then 2 keyframes and making the clip longer then 20s creates huge problems) In the past i've recorded clips 20 - 30 s long and the motion in ArcScene purposely very slow then in post processing (video editing application) i've spead up the clips 4x. However this time it's quite jerky and I will not be able to make it appear fluid with any trickery.
What on earth is going on? I've seen countless animations on the web and all suffer from this problem. I am uploading my 2GB clip to YouTube right now and will post a link when complete.
Well, for some reason YouTube removed all the colour from the video (the imagery is in reality very green and saturated) and also introduced a strange artifact on the left but still you can see the jerking: http://www.youtube.com/my_videos_upload?feature=vm-menu
