Just want to know the scale when I export a figure from ArcScene. I have found nowhere can set the scale bar, like in the ArcMap. Thanks.
possible, but not an out-of-the box solution.... You cannot use a generic 2-dimensional scale bar in a 3D environment. Such scale bar needs to be 3-dimentional and it will also not serve the same purpose as a scale bar would on a traditional 2D map. (cannot use it to measure distances on the hard copy) I often use a 3D line drawn somewhere near the model but i first rotate to a view I would like to show in the final output so that the scale bar is positioned correctly. To add an alternating bar effect, you can divide the bar to units then symbolize the alternating sections accordingly. You can then add labels manually, which is by no means an easy task in 3D analyst. I also often add a vertical scale bar when i use vertical exaggeration.
