Hi,
I want to add breaklines (primarily shorelines) to multiple TINs to define all areas below 0m sea level. TINs came from LiDAR mass point data, but I didn't perform the analysis and metadata are scarce. I have hundreds of TIN files broken into multiple sites or tiles. I have one polyline shapefile for the breaklines and a polygon shapefile for the index of the TIN tiles.
I'm looking for any advice on how to go about adding the breaklines to the existing TINs.
Some words on what I know so far...
If I use the Edit Tin tool with the breaklines shapefile (as hardclip) and the index shapefile (as hardclip with specific tile of interest selected), I get what I'm wanting, except b/c I used the index (ie data area boundary) as a hardclip, I get interpolation between the breaklines and the index boundary file. The DEM.jpg attachment displays this result from the output TIN converted to a DEM. I should note during the Edit Tin process, I get a generic error message and then can't add the TIN to ArcMap due to being out of memory.
If I do the same process as above, but with the index boundary as a softclip, which seems more appropriate, I get the same TIN, ie no modifications have occurred. The TIN.jpg attachment shows this result.
Thanks for advice in advance!
