I am unable to add a las file to arcgis pro.  I have pro 1.1 however we are still on desktop and server 10.2.2.  I dont seem to be able to see las files at all.  When I try to add data there does not seem to be the ability to select the .las file type.

Thankyou

Thanks for the reply Dan. I do have 3d analyst available.  I have managed to use the create las dataset tool which could see .las and outputed a .lasd point cloud which i can now view.  I am now trying to work out how to use the las elevation.  Its definitely not intuitive!

I couldn't see the .LAS file in ArcGIS Pro, but I was able to create a new LAS Dataset in ArcCatalog and add the file to it.  Once I had the dataset made, ArcGIS Pro could find it.

Thanks. I tried that, but the LAS file wouldn’t show up in the “input files” dialog box until after I made the LASD in catalog. Not sure what the glitch was. The file was from a foreign country. Maybe it was missing something that importing it into the LASD fixed.
