Eric6346, it`s objective fact, we have a sparse gauging network on tgis river. So I just can`t get more archieve data. Is there a techics to interpolate surfaces when there is a sparse observation network? Might the data from small and large watersheds be campared and then interpolated, or I just need to somehow distribute this interpolation just along the river sub-watershed boundaries, so they doesn`t influence the neighborhood areas? This is flood date. Don`t you know any literature about hedrological data interpolation (you might know more about this), I`ve tried to google purposefully, but didn`t find anything helpful? ...

I don`t know if I`m making the right decision trying to interpolate this type of data? Thiessen polygons shown for better description (picture in the attachment). My main watershed was divided into gauge contributing areas. The data describes flood end date on tributaries and also on a main river (that flows from North). I have also flood start and flood duration data. I haven`t googled any helpful information about interpolation techniques for gauge data over a waterheds, especially when there is an objective lack of data. Thank`s in advice. Greetings, 1) I want to use the "GA Layer To Point" tool for a multiple geostatistical layers (around 50) and only one point layer (observation stations). I need to assign the predicted values to my points but without creating a new GALayerToPoints.shp for each GL. I need to store the result in one Attribute table (of my observation stations) but with many fields. How it can be done? 2) And I have one more question: how to use iterators in the Model Builder for the geostatistical layers that are stored in .mxd project files. Or only Batch might be used, if they are not physically exists? 😉

Hello, is there a way to round a "predicted value at cursor" in the display properties of GL?

too bad... maybe, ESRI should implement this option in 10.2 exported raster from geostatistical layer looks not so good as source (even if you use small cell sizes). Smoothness of the contours makes sense for me, so either I can`t use Filled Contours tools. Okay, will do it "by hands" Thank you, Steve!

I need to apply classification, and color ramp for "Filled contours" and "Contors" of my GA layer before Model builder will export it to Contour.shp. I`ve created a .lyr file with my symbology, but it seems that I can`t use it in Model Builder for my GA layer. How can I perform what I want? 😉

Thanks, stevelynch They were the same. I eliminated the problem by using new Model Builder model with only RBF and Feature Iterator wthout any "%Name%", "%1%" etc. So now it works just fine! And the problem was in output names or smth like that.

are you using 10.1 and do you have Service Pack 1 installed (which fixes NIM079650)? Yes, I use ArcGis 10.1 SP1 for Desktop (build 3143). NIM079650... Hm.. I see where might be a problem. But how to be 100% shure that NIM079650 was fixed by SP1 on my PC?

Hi, guys. My model gives me not the same geostatistical layer as I get just using the tool from ArcToolbox. I have many point features in the .gdb, so I use iterator to get as many geostatistical layers? My model is incorrect or it`s a strange behaviour (bug) of the Model Builder? Hi, guys. I need to make many geostatistical layers based on my point data, so I`ve decided to use Model Builder. But I get the result that is different compared to that I get by using Geostatistical Wizard. All model parameters, for sure, are the same (but cell values and error statistics differentiate). What is the case? Radial Basis Function - layer based on Geostatistical Wizard nt10_30_06 - layer made by Model Builder You can even try it by yourself and see that two layers based on the same data and method parameters either build by Geostatistical Wizzard or by Interpolation Tool (but only in Model Builder, not as separate tool) from Geostatistical Analyst toolbox will be different. Hello, accodrding to "Arc Hydro Tools Tutorial (Version 2.0 - October 2011)" to process the "Adjust Flow Direction in Lakes" function I need to: Confirm that the input for Flow Direction Grid is ???FdrSink???, Lake Polygon a lake polygon feature class (e.g. NHDWaterbody) and Stream a line feature class (e.g. NHDFlowline). The output is the Bowled Flow Direction Grid, named by default ???BowlFdr???. This default name can be overwritten. but it can`t be done because this function requires grid data as initial to stream (grid?). So, I don`t know how to perform this tutorial further. Best regards.

It`s a .tif from the Tutorial Data for ArcHydro 2.0 (ftp://RiverHydraulics@ftp.esri.com/ArcHydro/Data/Tutorial/2.0/) and it`s a step of Arc Hydro Tools 2.0 - Tutorial.pdf (ftp://RiverHydraulics@ftp.esri.com/ArcHydro/Doc/ArcHydro2_0/). In this tutorial the data is in the AIG format, but it doesn`t matter in my case. If it seems not to work with the tutorial data I definitely wouldn`t expect this program to work with the real data... Spatial Analyst works perfectly!
