I have two scripts that I have created using examples within several sources of documentation. The first is a python script that repairs existing mosaic dataset paths and then creates an imagery service from that mosaice dataset. The second python script is a precursor that removes/deletes the same imagery service. This imagery service needs re-creating because we are copying from production to nonproduction environments. The repair/service creation python script successfully works. I cannot find an error with the python script that tries to delete the imagery service. I am a novice Python'er so please be gentle...lol The deletion script is something that I cobbled together from three different examples and when I run the script in ArcCatalog from a toolbox it simply completes within two seconds with no errors but nothing happens. I would greatly appreciate it if anyone has any thoughts....THANKS!!!

Corey, I take it you have never had a response back on this question or figured it out? I have been trying to modify the html request but it actually makes the labeling disappear instead of change font size or color. Just curious if you had any success? Thanks for your time. Steve IA

Soo.....I do not see a way to 'unauthorize' a license on the ArcGIS Server software. We have it licensed for ArcGIS Server Standard but am archiving those services and do not need them running anymore. However, I don't want to get rid of the server in case we ever have a need to re-authorize the server and have them running again. Does anyone know if the software licensing can be removed with the software remaining installed? Thanks for your time. Steve

Based on two other posts/replies the API does not allow the return of features based on the query of a related table. However, I don't see why you can't call the service to get the matching records from the related table and then make a second call to the actual feature layer table to get the related features. Anyone else have some thoughts here??? I would also like to know for sure. Steve

Would it be technically possible to use the first two vertexes, as defined by the users, to then automaticaly create a final arc using the first vertex as the center and then the second vertex to calculate an arc to close the polygon? The second point would be used as the initial xy AND the final xy, we would then calcualte the opposing side of the circle as the third and intermediate vertex to close the arc. We may have a line from the vertex to one side but I don't really care about that...... Thanks in advance for your opinion, Steve

Thanks in advance for taking the time to read my post! We are currenlty developing a silverlight application that edits a feature layer within ORACLE 11G. We have no problems with the functionalily of actually creating, modifying and deleting features (polygon layer). My question is why can we not create "circles" when I have selected circle as the default type in one of the feature templates created for that layer. The tool want's to create a polygon instead of a circle (click center point and then click diameter of circle to complete edit). Does the editing widget not utilize the default type when determining which tool to use when creating a new shape?
