@ !I have converted a line feature geo-database to ArcInfo coverage (ROUTE). Then I converted the routes to arcs using ROUTEARC command. Everything went well, but the resultant coverage (arc) did not have any spatial coordinate system. I have used REGIONPOLY for polygon coverages and it worked well. What could be the reason for this error? Thanks

Hello All, I have exported a GIS file to ArcInfo coverage using regions (there are multiple overlap, adjacent polygons, etc). So far so good. At the end I was prompted to add the result to arcMap. Which I did and there is the INFO table that I edited and closed. After that I am not able to see it. I could see the coverage (parent) but not INFO file. When I tried to export once again to INFO file, I could see the INFO file in the save to window. There must be some way of working with INFO files in ArcMap. Thanks

Hello All, I have 1890s & 1900s vintage scanned Topographic Maps. The Coordinate system is obviously a Geographic Coordinate system since only the lat/longs are represented in the tics. the datum is Mean Sea Level. Perhaps they are in Polyconic Projection and Clarke 1888 ellipsoid. based on the corner Tic coordinates they were geo-referenced to Datum NAD27 because of convenience. I am not an expert in geodesy, but how much shifts are expected for such transformations? Is such practice acceptable? There seems to be no sure answer. Any guidance/help is greatly appreciated. -Samuel

Hello Jake, Thanks for the answer. Awesome, such a short time. I used the below function and it seemed to work: "CAMGMT15" + str( !FID!).zfill(6) The trick seems to be zfill. And if I add too many letters in the first string say "CAMMGMTSQ15" and set the zfill value at 8, I am getting error. Obviously the 15 length I set for this field is exceeded.

Hello All, An example. I have multiple geo-referenced aerial photographs (TIFF formats) across various directories in the network. I create foot-prints shape file using FME. A sub-set (say 212 out of 2500) of these TIFFs are selected from the shape file and exported as a text file (CSV table). I was so far using a python script ( a simple one) to re-project these TIFFs from the CSV into a different directory with the same names and extension (.tif). Will I be able to input this CSV file in a model? Thanks, Samuel

Hello Melita, The geo-referenced aerial photographs (JP2 format) were probably created by ESRI software (by Vendor). The Projection should have been UTM NAD83 Zone18. Hello All, I got a geo-TIFF with Projection: UTM Datum: WGS84 Zone: 18 The EPSG Code is 32617 I Re-projected the same image to NAD83 Projection: UTM Datum: NAD83 Zone: 18 The EPSG Code is 26918 (correct) Does any one know why this discrepancy occurs?
