Results after saved to a new DWG shows this : Has anyone had any luck using arc segements preserved to lines in ArcGIS Pro ? It is possible there are might others may have the same sitution.

I have been really busy with other project but I do have a question for you . The dwg we have is from a Autocad person. So When I add this dwg to my Pro and it ends up in North Iowa. However, the Projection and the Extent do not make any sense to me The Problem it was assigned to : Projected Coordinate System NAD 1983 StatePlane Colorado Central FIPS 0502 (US Feet) Projection Lambert Conformal Conic WKID 2232 Previous WKID 102654 Authority EPSG My only simple question is how do I change the extent of the Top, Bottom, Left and Right to the Boundary Box of the Area of Interest rather than to have change or assigned to the Projection for that area ? The intend to the area of Area of Interest (Shown here in box ) Since it is in DWG file and there is no way to change the boundary to the Area of Interest ( black box), I am aware that I have to use the CAD Data menu and georeference it and assign a new world file..... Can you help me understand how it works ? I googld about DWG that has in the wrong location and how to assigned them... Also, I change the coordinate system in the Map Properties to Unknown and it ends up in near Mecca, Saudi Arabia . Thanks !

Hi, Anyone out here that know how to force my CAD to assigned Coordinate System Name and Coordinate System Description in the Properties in the Drawing at the Content list ? Even though in the General and the Spatial Reference it says it is in NAD 1983 UTM Zone 13N fine. and the Validate Position is in corrected Assigned and Model Extent too

Hello GIS friends whereever you are ! I have an issue with this DWG file that tells me it is in NAD_1983_StatePlane_Colorado_Central_FIPS_0502_Feet however, it is showing up in North Iowa . How can I change this projection back to NAD 1983 UTM Zone 13N (26913) What is the procedure for this since the State is actually in feets and our projection is in meters ? Thanks

Hello ! Have a question . I have been doing a lot of CAD files that was done in 2023 and has a different projection. So I have to use FME Data Inspector and Workbench 2024.1.1 on some of the CAD files However, some of the CAD I worked on I had to change the projection to UTM 13N and took out the world file. I would Validate Position and the first part at the top of the Current Status that I have assigned coordinatate marked in blue color which means it is already assigned. Then Send the CAD files to the Map and test it to overlay with the polyline and save the world file. So when I went back to the Validate Position again and see it said No Project address found in this model ? Here it is a screenshot... Do I need to fix it or is it just good enough and move on ? Currently using ArcGIS Pro 3.3.6

So I am experiment and write a step by step for a co-worker and here I have a problem with layer that has the wrong projection.... So, basically what I am trying to do here is to a copy and paste the gegoraphic coordinates Look at the screenshot ... Open the Layer's Properties Click on the source and to the far right there is a Copy button that you want to copy the extent of the geographic coordinates Closed the Layer Properties Then go back to the layer and right click to Export the Data Features At the top of the Export Features. Double Click on the Environments Go down to the Processing Extent . Click on the Copy/Paste Button and then choose "Paste Extent" So what I see here is it did not copy and paste to this Hmmmmmm..... So my question is Why did it not copy and then paste into the X and Y ? I am using ArcGIS Pro 3.3.6 and Has it been update to correct this problem to the new version 3.5 ? Thanks !

Hey... See if you can recover it through your Windows Exploerer either in 10 or 11 and find the geodatabase where it was located. In that folder, right click there and in the Properties see if you have Previous Versions ?

ESRI has their own ArcGIS Code Sharing on their online Here is the link : https://codesharing.arcgis.com// I wonder if this site will be maintanince as we move on from the old ArcMap and past version. I wonder if this will be closed and move to a new website for the ArcGIS Pro ? With so many old ones that no longer working , obsolete , deprecated and some tools, addin, or python may work ... I would like to know curious will there be a update or migrate some to the new website ? Thanks !

May I throw an idea for the future in ArcGIS Pro new version . When you are working in Pro, and I am not sure if others have suggest an idea or not but here am I. In the Map tab and when you have a symbology that you want to turn off or on and see what you are working or not whatever.. I have an idea that can I suggest you to add. Highlight a layer and then in the Drawing section and click on Symbology. Problem when you open it and I see no way around to turn it off or on .

Hi, I have a question that I am not sure if it has been resolved or question in the past... but when I was working on a layer that has all the symbols for the roads.... I use the select by attributes and see there was a problem... I wrote down on my paper when I saw there is an issue, I am seeing... Using the "Select By Attributes" under the Map tab and then in the selection group options. When you create a new field to calculate or assign from another field or copy from another field on your layer. Open the Select by Attributes. Use the new Field to use your clause to create your query expression. When you enter the apply button after you made the clause. Open the Attributes pane in the selection and you see the features has been selected. You assigned or input your field you need into the field database. When you are done, you save the edit inside the "Select by Attributes" dialog pane or "pending" save. You then go back to the "Select By Attributes" again and click on the 3rd box aka values or fields to see if the values have been updated or not. It does not update the field when you made the changes You would have to constantly have to use exit the Edit button and then come back into the Edit again to see the changes are updated. Why does it not update and it should have been update immediately ?

Actually the workaround I did was to use the select by attributes and then open the attributes in the selection menu and in the Attribute dialog box . Click at the layer name and then go down to the field and type that number....
