Sorry this is so late, but I am wondering how you all got your CAD data into the feature class? Did you use the CAD to geodatabase GP tool? Or an import? I think that could help us figure out where the corruption of maybe the data spatial index happens. Thank you, Lisa

A couple questions that might help me to reproduce. Can reproduce this with any data? Do you move multiple vertices at the same time? Do you drag to change the position of the vertices? Do you ever double click to start the edit vertices mode? or to finish the sketch? Thanks, Lisa

Hi Mark, I am having trouble reproducing your problem. I have a simple line and point feature class in a feature dataset that I loaded on SDE (both Oracle and SQL server) and made sure not to register them as versioned. In arcmap I unchecked the "ability to undo and redo" setting on the Versioning page. Then started the edit session. Even without doing anything the replace geometry tool is active, and works if i select a row that doesn't have a geometry yet. Can you add more details or steps? Any third party software installed that disables commands. Thanks, Lisa Stanners

Hi Kevin, You are correct, the snap tips do not show. this has been fixed in the 10.1 release with some changes to the way topology elements get moved. In the mean time if you hold down the 's' key as you move vertices you should see the snap tips and symbols. Lisa

It sounds like you have not opened the Snapping options dialog yet. Click on Snapping on the snapping toolbar to open the drop menu. then clck Options... In this dialog you can increase the Tolerance to a higher number so you the cursor searches a larger distance to snap. Also make sure the check box for "Show Tips" is checked. Thanks, Lisa Stanners

You need to make sure you are using the classic snapping environment. This is a boolean property on IEditProperties4.
