Hi folks, Understanding ArcGIS Enterprise has the restriction from the contract that not allow us to create accounts for our clients, but can only create accounts for our sub-contractors/external consultants. I am interested to know if organisation AGOL has the same restriction as ArcGIS Enterprise? Thanks!

Thanks @Scott_Tansley , "throw lots of different service types onto one machine" would be the reason for our environment. Would increase SOC maximum heap size ease this high javaw memory consumption?

Hi folks, The javaw.exe of our ArcGIS Hosting Server always consumes very high memory (as screenshot below) regardless of how many users/activities. Does anyone have similar experience? Not sure if this will cause any issue for the system? also how to address this high memory consumption issue? Thank you!

Hi Fellas, I was running a script ('tool30' attached) to append some data to my GDBs, however, the script has been forced stop twice and I think there was a lock in my GDBs after it has been forced stop as when I run the script ('tool30' attached) again, I got the error message as: ExecuteError: ERROR 000224: Cannot insert features Failed to execute (Append). --------------------------------------------- Another script ('tool40' attached) applied to the same GDBs, with the error message (this error is from the script "tool40" I have attached): ExecuteError: ERROR 999999: Error executing function. The current version does not support editing (base, consistent, or closed) [An open transaction was detected. All user transactions must be closed prior to StartEditing.] Failed to execute (Append). Any suggestions how to deal with the issue? Cheers,

Thank you Dan, I have tried and it does work if I have small amount of lines. But this case I have lots of lines and I will need to find the highest and lowest points of each line. Any quicker ways to achieve it?

Thank you Jake, I found the "Feature Vertices To Points" does not have the function to find the highest or lowest? (as below copied from this tool's online help) ALL —A point will be created at each input feature vertex. This is the default. MID —A point will be created at the midpoint, not necessarily a vertex, of each input line or polygon boundary. START —A point will be created at the start point (first vertex) of each input feature. END —A point will be created at the end point (last vertex) of each input feature. BOTH_ENDS —Two points will be created, one at the start point and another at the endpoint of each input feature. DANGLE —A dangle point will be created for any start or end point of an input line, if that point is not connected to another line at any location along that line. This option does not apply to polygon input. Do I still have to export the attribute of the points and compare the Z values of each pipeline? Cheers,

Hi fellas, I have a line feature, also have a DEM, just want to extract the highest and lowest points of this line. I will need to get the coordinates of the highest and lowest points of this line, to compare with the existing highest and lowest points data. Any suggestions? (Please find the demo data as screenshot)

Thank you Ken, I have also figure in Python, just write down if anyone needs it. After opening the label Expression window in the label tab of ArcMap, please tick Advanced in the expression and choose Python in the Parser. Please paste the following script into the Expression window: def FindLabel ([Identifier]): s = [Identifier] return s[20:] The [Name] field is the column that you want to label with. The [20:] in the script means choose the string start from 21 st and to the last character of the cell value. If you want to start from another location, just change the “20” in the script.

Hi guys, I have to label all the cables by using all the highlighted numbers from the 'Identifer' field as screenshot. I don't want to create another filed so would like this to be done in label expression? Any fabulous suggestion? (the number is always start in the 21st word, but ends either the 22nd or 23rd, for example, if the value is "4200-SUB-LUK014-3H1-2", then I just want to label the feature as "2"; if the value is "4200-SUB-LUK014-3H1-36", then I will want to label the feature as "36".)
