Lucas, I am also having this issue, sort of. I have a point layer of hospitals & want have an ESRI supported hospital symbol 118 ( a white H with a blue background in a square). But when added, the "H" is hollow and the background colors show thru. How did you get a solid background? Thanks, Catherine

Xander, we are in NM state plane. I have other maps in this Pro project and the building footprints and air photos align fine. It is just this 1 map that is ka-fooy.

I have created a map in Pro that has air photos. When I add the building foot print layer, the footprints are in the wrong location. When I create the same map in ArcMap, using the same layers, everything is perfectly aligned like it always was. Please see screen shot. Any suggestions are appreciated. Thanks, Catherine

Hi Megan, I spoke with an ESRI tech today and here's what he recommended: In your map with the survey layer in the TOC, highlight the layer and click on the 3 dots-> Configure popup->configure attributes. Scroll to field that is out of sequence and click on it, then hit the up arrow until the field is located in the correct place in your att table. OK out. The field will not be in the correct spot, but...it will not remain there if you add the layer into a new map. He is currently looking into how to permanently place the rogue field where it should be. Hope this helps - Catherine

Thank you Lance. I created a mock survey and added in some addresses from my PC that should have clumped together. Instead, most of them were way on the east side of town and all on top of one another. Any idea why?

Here is an addendum to the above question: The other survey appeared in my map, but I don't know how it got added. Also, below is a screen shot of my table of contents. What are the bottom 2 files? How did they get there & OK to delete? Thanks again, Ca.

I was wondering if it is possible to add a newly created survey to an existing map that has another survey already in it. Do I have to create the map from the survey? I want to eventually create a dashboard with both of the surveys in it and see the db update as data gets entered from the 2 surveys. Is this possible? Thanks in advance - Catherine

Adam, I saw your posting & have to ask how you got the smaller area map to work. I cannot figure it out. I need to have each park in the City on a separate map series page with a smaller map indicating the zone atlas page of the park highlighted in red. Please share how you did that! There is nothing in the Help... Thanks, Catherine.

I have a memory issue also. When I have the Pro help open, my email & Pro, I constantly have to minimize & reopen pro to have my screen update the Pro changes I made, like changing symbology or labeling or just moving screens around. Very annoying & time consuming...

Hello all. I am trying to add an extent indicator map to a map series project in Pro. My problem is I cannot get the indicator map to act independently of the main Map Frame. When I turn on/off a layer in the indicator map, the same layer is turned on/off in the main Map Frame. I do not want this. I want to be able to have control over the indicator map like I do in ArcMap, where, once "Activated", the inset map operates like a separate entity where layers can be added, labeled, symbology changed, etc., without affecting the main map. Any ideas on how to achieve this? I tried "locking the element", but that did not work. I tried R clicking on the Map Frame & choosing "Activate", and that did not work. I reviewed help documents & videos, & no one else seems to have that problem. Any help is appreciated, Thank you!

Derek, thank you for your reply. I don't think the Batch Attribute Editor widget will work in an AGOL map. My goal is to select all roads in a 3 mile buffer from a "crash" and mark them as CLOSED. I ran a Find Existing Locations analysis where the a selection of roads is being taken "completely within" my 3 mile buffer layer. Yes, I got a layer of road within the 3 mile buffer, but I want to put the road closures into a gauge in my dashboard. If I use the newly created layer from the Find Existing Locations analysis, the gauge will read 100% (which is true). But I want the % of roads closed to be taken from the entire roads layer. My initial thought was to use the newly created roads layer and the total roads layer & do a JOIN or a SELECT BY LOCATION where the roads are coincident & extract those roads to mark them as CLOSED. Alas, all the Analysis tools create new layers, which is not what I want. How can I select roads from my total road layer that are within my 3 mile buffer? Thanks for your help!

Hello all: I am trying to create a Dashboard for emergency management practices. I have a map in ArcGIS Online that I am using to create the Dashboard. My goal is to have a gauge in the dashboard showing the percentage of closed roads. My thought is to create a buffer around 1 street segment that has had a fictitious 18 wheeler accident. I want to select all the streets in a 1, 2 & 3 mile buffer from that accident site and mark them as "CLOSED". Marking the streets as "CLOSED" will then show a percentage on my gauge in the dashboard. However, I cannot figure out how to buffer only that 1 street segment. Another thing I cannot figure out how to select more than 1 features for editing in ArcGIS Online. In ArcMap, we have that wonderful Select Features tool , but it seems one has to select from the attribute table and run a mass calculation on a field instead of selecting the features from the map and then calculate. Is this Select Features option available in AGOL? Thank you in advance. Catherine Bradley
