Thanks a million in fact, the test field (CAD_Design_RoomID) that I have contains "Null" for all records. and I want to generate a sequential codes for each parking Lot building on its location as each bulk of parking lots exist in an area named as WBD001, WBD002 ...etc. so each subset of parking lots should be given sequential codes like WBD001-1, WBD001-2 based on a selection as these parking lots are part of a FC that contains many other features and not only parking lots.

hi I have a feature class that has a field in attribute table with values like WBD001. Now I am cutting this feature into a parking lots and want to assign each parking lot a value like WBD001-1,WBD001-2, ...n. is there any code to do so; considering I am working on a versioned GDB and don't have the privilege to add another field to make concatenation. Thanks a million Dan; I think we have to remove the + "-" after the first part ( a.split("(")[0] ) as it gives double hyphen in the result like ART-S-01-00-1050--1-(OFS) but anyway, this was helpful, many thanks again

Hi Pros; I have this table and need to take the numbers after hyphen in CAD_DESIGN_ROOMID field and put it before the last three letters in ROOMCODE field with another hyphen. I need the result to look like this : ART-S-01-00-1050-1-(OFS) ART-S-01-00-1050-2-(OFS) ART-S-01-00-1050-3-(OFS) . . . ART-S-01-00-1050-19-(OFS) any idea how I can do that in python. considering I am working in an SDE GDB and can't add more fields. Thanks

Hi all I have a dashboard that is updated daily and needs to show different months grouped by year as shown in the attached image. unfortunately; it only shows the months within 2018 only. I need to show Jan and Feb 2019 next to Dec 2018. I tried to play with its settings with no result. any ideas?

Hi, I have hundreds of map services and feature services published to my ArcGIS Server and classified inside different folders. accidentally, no service at the root level or inside folders appears. folders still there and the data is available at C:\arcgisserver\directories\arcgisoutput all applications that are consuming these services stop working. what could be the cause of this?
