Dojo has a lot of built in animations such as fade out. dojo.fadeOut({
node:"Your Element",
duration:700,
onEnd: function(){
dojo.style("Your Element", "display", "none");
}
}).play(); Some examples can be found here http://dojotoolkit.org/reference-guide/dojo/fadeOut.html

Point geometry does not have the method getExtent(). To get the extent of a point one option would be to create your own extent from the x/y coordinates of the point.
if (g.geometry.type == "point")
new esri.geometry.Extent({"xmin":g.geometry.x - 2000,"ymin":g.geometry.y - 2000,"xmax":g.geometry.x + 2000,"ymax":g.geometry.y + 2000,"spatialReference":{"wkid":g.geometry.spatialReference.wkid}});
else
g.geometry.getExtent();

Set the logo to false in the parameter options of the map constructor. Example: var map = new esri.Map("map",{logo:false}); Then position your logo where you want in the map container.

Is there a way to return all the attributes for a PopupTemplate without declaring all of them in the fieldInfos object? For a InfoTemplate all you have to do is this to return every attribute. var template=new esri.InfoTemplate("My Title","${*}"); I've tried a bunch of different ways and the closest I came up with is: var template=new esri.dijit.PopupTemplate({
title: result.layerName,
fieldInfos: [{ fieldName: "*",visible: true}]
}); The problem with that is there is only 1 returned key/value pair. The key is the asterisk and the single value is all of the results grouped together.

Your JavaScript in the head tag is being ran before the body loads. myLat and myLong and both undefined because "siteLat" and "siteLong" don't exist at the time when you are trying to get the values. In your current scenario a simple fix would be moving the JavaScript in the head tags down like this: <script type="text/javascript">
var myLat=document.getElementById("siteLat").innerHTML;
var myLong=document.getElementById("siteLong").innerHTML;
document.write("myLat: " + myLat + "<br>");
document.write("myLong: " + myLong + "<br>");
</script>
When you are working with the ESRI Maps your JavaScript will be in a initialize function, which doesn't start until Dojo (and the HTML) has loaded.

I believe it is telling you that you cannot add those feature layers without a basemap.

Sorry if I wasn't clear. I have the PDFExporter up and running fine and it works fine with all of my layers. The quality of the PDF file is the problem. The PDFExporter causes the map to become very 'pixelated'. The example here http://kiwigis.blogspot.com/2010/11/how-to-export-map-to-pdf-client-side.html results in a much better quality because it is taking a map layer and putting it straight into a PDF file. My problem is that I am not sure how to put all of the layers from my map and put it into a PDF using the second solution. I can get my ArcGISTiledMapServiceLayer to appear OR I can get one of my ArcGISDynamicMapServiceLayers to appear, but I can't get them to appear all together.

Hello, I am fairly new to Silverlight/ESRI and I am trying to insert my map and all of its layers into a PDF file. I have used the method of converting a map to a PDF from this thread and everything works fine. I have also looked into this example and have tested them both. The example I have posted provides much better quality because the map is not being converted to a bitmap. The only problem is that it only converts 1 map layer into the PDF. I have a ArcGISTiledMapServiceLayer, several ArcGISDynamicMapServiceLayers, and several GraphicsLayers that need to be inside of the same PDF. Does somebody know of a way to do this or would be kind enough to post an example of how this can be done. Thank you.
