Hello Richard, This is not a bug, but a symbol applied to the point for the CAD layer. You can easily reset the style of the points by using the "DDPTYPE" command in AutoCAD and selecting the style you want to display the point with. I hope this helps! Regards, Prasanta.

You can inbox me to with your project and the information below (as much as possible). Exact error message. Version of ArcGIS Pro the project was originally created. Last saved ArcGIS Pro version. Content of the project (maps, data types, connections, etc) Exact steps carried on the system or in ArcGIS Pro before the project starts to throws this error. If ArcGIS Pro crashed while attempting to save just before the issue started, see if there is an error report generated which is found in C:\Users\<Username>\AppData\Local\ESRI\ErrorReports. Greetings! Some of our users reported this issue to Esri Support a few weeks ago. We have reported this issue as a defect to our development teams. They are well aware and are investigating this issue at their end. "BUG-000105427: ActiveX control warnings appear when interacting with geoprocessing tools after updating to Windows 10 version 1703 (Creators Update)". So far, for our users who contacted support, workaround described on following knowledge base article seems to be working. For version 10, use the following steps. 1. Close ArcMap and ArcCatalog. 2. Download the following compressed ZIP file: ver10.zip. 3. There are two files in the ZIP file: MdDlgContent.xsl and MdDlgHelp.xsl. Unzip the contents of the ZIP file to the desktop or a desired location on the hard drive. 4. In Windows Explorer, navigate to the Stylesheets folder in the ArcGIS installation folder. This is usually located at: C:\Program Files (x86)\ArcGIS\Desktop10.5\ArcToolbox\Stylesheets 5. In the Stylesheets folder, rename MdDlgContent.xsl to MdDlgContent.xsl_old and rename MdDlgHelp.xsl to MdDlgHelp.xsl_old. 6. Copy the two new files that were extracted from the ZIP file to the Stylesheets folder. The contents of the folder should look like the screen shot below. The GP tools should now open without error. I hope this helps you all as well. We apologize for any inconvenience this issue might cause on your workflow, and hope this issue will be resolved soon. Regards, Prasanta.

Hello! This issue was reported to Esri Support and a defect was logged to further investigate the cause and potential solution. Our Development teams have been actively working to get a fix for this issue over the last week. At this point, we are in early stage of testing fix for this issue and the current plan is to issue a general patch for the affected products. Esri does not recommend workarounds that involve modifying the PATH environment variable or deleting msvcr90.dll from folders listed in the PATH, as doing either can negatively impact any application reliant on the DLL. If the application referenced in the PATH environment variable is nonessential, uninstalling it may provide a safe workaround for the issue. Removing unnecessary items from Internet Explorer’s list of addons may also help. This knowledge base article provides further detail on this issue. Thank you everyone for providing feedback to us, and we apologize for any inconvenience that this issue might have caused on your workflow. Regards, Prasanta.

If for any reason Add Surface Information is NOT working for you, you should also be able to calculate the same using following steps: 1. Interpolate Shape > Input surface: DEM; Input features: Polyline; and rest as default options. 2. Add a field (double) then Calculate Geometry to calculate 3D Length Property. For me, this gave same/similar results as adding surface length. Hope this help! Thanks, Prasanta.

Hello Pete! Are you using the Add Surface Information tool as Dan suggested? It should give you the surface length from your DEM. On my screen capture below, SLength attribute is the 3D length (which is different from Shape_Length) after running Add Surface Information tool. Thanks, Prasanta.

Hello Jason, I could not find the original link for you, but if you are looking for burning your buildings (Multipatch) into your existing DEM, you might be able to do this using steps below: 1. Run Multipatch to Raster (available I believe starting 10.2) tool to convert your building multipatch to a raster dataset (select appropriate cell size). 2. Run the Mosaic to new raster tool to create a combined raster from above output and your existing DEM. Hope this helps! Regards, Prasanta.

Hello! You can request free evaluation license of ArcGIS Spatial Analyst if necessary. However, you can also replace the values of the elevation surface by mosaicking a constant raster with existing surface. Here's what could be done. - If you know constant value and the area(lake boundary for example) you can create a raster with constant elevation value by converting polygon to raster. You can use original elevation raster for cell size and snapping. - Once you have the constant raster created, you can mosaic the two together. Make sure you select correct parameter for pixel type, number of bands, and mosaic operator. Hope this helps. Thank you, Prasanta.

You can also try: Point to Raster (using multipoints) > Expand/Shrink (to fill in the voids) > Raster to polygon.
