Hi, I'am using Arcgis JS API 4.6, and notive a bug with the DirectLineMeasurement3D Widget. When a sceneView padding is set, the level line that appears on mouse over is incorrectly positioned. You can see an example here: Plunker. Have this bug already been noticed ?

Hi @Bengi Geoca, I was able to get a result with your example by adding spatialReference to the point past to the geometry engine. Here is your demo modified: ArcGIS Add Point - JSFiddle.

Hi @Bengi Geoca, You can use GeometryEngine and more specifically the nearestCoordinate method to find the closest point of a Multipoint geometry. Here is an example with the latest JS API 4.4 : Arcgis JS API 4.4 : nearest point - JSFiddle . You can take inspiration from this code it would be very similar with 3.x version. Hope it helps!

Hi Henry obaseki, Here is a working example with your layer sources: Plunker. I was able to find a location on layerSource1 with "CM" and find a location on layerSource2 with "IG11".

Hi Henry obaseki, If you want to use your own form and input with the searchWidget, you have to use the "search" method of the widget. In this case you don't need to add the widget in a container, but simply construct it with the view. You can then use the input value to search with the widget. Your code will look like that : var searchWidget = new Search{view: view1})
function mySubmitFunction () {
let element = document.getElementById("YourInputID")
let address = element.value
searchWidget.search(address).then((results) => {
console.log("Search widget results :", results)
})
})
I made a plunker to show an example with plainJS here: Plunker. It will show the result on the map, only if you get a single result, otherwise you will need to pick up the suggested results and pass them on to the view so that the end user can select the correct result. Hope it help! Best

Hi Henry obaseki, You just have to use the "container" property in your widget constructor (Search widget 4.x). In this case you don't have to add your widget to the view.ui. Furthermore the startup() method is deprecated since JS API 4.2. With your code it will look like this : var searchWidget = new Search({ view: view1, container: "searchWidget" }); <form action="" id="searchWidgetForm" style="float: left" > <input type="text" name="q" value="Postcode or address" title="Postcode or address" size="21" maxlength="120"> <input type="submit" value="search" class="tfbutton"> <div id="searchWidget"></div> </form>
