Geoevent 10.7.1. I'm receiving JSON through a REST endpoint. No problems for 90% of the files coming in. All JSON appears the same. I didn't have this before I had to use the multicardinal splitter to flatten the JSON file. Need to know where to look.

I have 1 feature that my company accesses to update and retrieve point information. Its an archiving table with around 100,000 points. I have around 280 users at the peak of use accessing at the same time with 1 ArcGIS server service. On occasion, that service can get bogged down and users see a significant delay as the service is waiting to free instances. My question is this. Is it better to have all users access the same service and feature with the same service or is it better to set up multiple services to disperse the load on ArcGIS server. Or does it matter since they are all accessing the same feature. Just don't know if I need to continually monitor and adjust the instances on the service or have different services based on region accessing the same feature/published MXD. Jeff

I have editor tracking turned on for one of my features. Seems it only puts Esri_Anonymous until I turned on the security at the service. Now I need a login on my arcgis server. Is there any way to get the AGOL username to be used by editor tracking?

Is it possible with out of the box ArcGIS server/AGOL to run a workflow against a feature service? For example, I have a point feature. I don't want the end user to be able to edit a point on that feature unless he/she is within a certain distance of that point. Say 50 feet. I have a 3rd party product where that is possible but kind of cumbersome and requires custom developer help ($$$). Jeff

I'm familiar with enabling time on a feature using existing data. We currently have a table in archiving mode and I was wondering if it was possible to time enable a feature based on the archive data. It would be cool to have a time slider to see changes that were done to features.

I am currently collecting points in GeoEvent into a point feature. I would like to find an automated way to convert the point feature, based on a field value, to a polyline feature. We are tracking vehicles but only need the polyline when a digital input is activated. Any help would be great.

I have a map with 1 layer. Each polygon has a field 'FIELDFULL'. I have a spreadsheet with tabular data also with a field 'FIELDFULL'. Map comes up fine. When I try to add the Excel data it only has options for the approved list of location fields, no way to select the common column to match the data. I thought on the previous version I was able to join on that field as a custom field. Please advise on how to display the data in the spreadsheet joined on the custom column. Jeff

Thanks Rahul. I discovered the same thing late in the day yesterday. We increased the max records in the Parameters section of Server Manager. That fixed one problem, but it opened our eyes to another problem. It appears that when a user has the "filter-by-extent" enabled, SharePoint only grabs the entire recordset at the initial extent. It appears that it never goes back to refresh that data set. Here is the reason I came to that conclusion: [INDENT]When the user initially sees the Sharepoint map it is zoomed out to include Iowa and Wisconsin. It should also pull in about 9,000 points on the map from our map service. But, because our service only had a limit of 1,000 records, we were only seeing 1,000 records in the details grid below. One would expect that if you zoomed into an area the size of a county, SharePoint should hit the service again and pull in a new recordset of points. But it doesn't. If you zoom into the county level, it only shows you a subset of the points it initially grabbed at the entire Wisconsin/Iowa extent. If your points were not included in the initial 1,000 points it pulled in, you will not seet them on the map.[/INDENT] We have played a little bit with the polling buttons on the ribbon, but they never seem like they are enabled. Can you tell me if this is normal behavior? Is this a bug? Ever get an answer to this? I have the same issue with Mobile services. I get the initial extent 1000 rows, but it never re-polls when changing views.

I need to display some popupInfo that is in number format but I do NOT need the thousand separator. Anyone have a clue how to code this in JSON for the Mobile app? Or know where I can get some documentation on the ESRI JSON commands? Thanks in advance. Jeff

Thanks Gordon, that's a great start. I'm noticed that on the iPhone or iPad, when you tap on the map, you get the location information, no matter what polygons are present. Is there a way to configure the popup to display the polygon information when you tap on it?

I'm trying to get the popups to display some field information from the polygons selected. Any example on how to do this? I found the document explaining how to create a basic JSON but it doesn't explain the popus. Version used is ArcGIS Server10.
